Aldenhoven of Elsebeen

It is questionable whether Aldenhoven was a castle or a fortified house in earlier centuries. The farmhouse was demolished and in its place stands today a modern country house in traditionalist style in the form of a longhouse.

However, there used to be a moat farm. This was for the French in 1795, the late bank of the monastery St. Elisabeth in Nunhem. This means that disputes related to land sales and inheritance were resolved.
