At the rear of the Onze Lieve Vrouwe Kapel in Neer, under a large cross, lie six war victims from Neer.

Six children were killed on January 8, 1944 when a mine exploded while they were playing near the Patronage.
Because the cemetery was under German shellfire, it was not possible to bury the children there. In memory of these six children six plaques with name, date of birth and date of the accident have been placed on the chapel.
