Discover the past rural life in Limburg
Walking around the beautifully maintained grounds, you get a good idea of the development of rural life from 1850 up to and including the latest developments in glasshouse horticulture and mushroom and asparagus cultivation, from simple farmer to modern, world-class agricultural entrepreneur.
There is so much to discover and experience here! Farms, crafts, exhibitions and activities. All maintained, managed and organised by volunteers.
Children will not be bored here. There is plenty to do. Every Sunday and during the holidays, activities for children take place in and around the children's pavilion, the HONK. Every second and fourth Sunday you can watch the blacksmith shaping the red-hot iron with a heavy hammer. Then the fire in the forge burns and our blacksmiths work hard.
After you have enjoyed all the beautiful things our museum has to offer, you should definitely take a look around the museum shop. The products on sale there tell the story of the museum. Fresh vegetables from our own soil, various regional products, from honey to blueberry juice, potted vegetables, liqueurs and ... the most delicious apple syrup prepared according to our own unique recipe. You will also find clogs, baskets, old-Dutch sweets and arts and crafts.
