Church

The St. Martinus church in Neer consists of two national monuments. The tower and some objects in the church have been registered as national monuments since 1968.

The entire church and much of the inventory has been registered since 2001. However, the base of the tower dates back to 1447, in that fall the church was dedicated on the feast day of St. Egidius. After that time, the tower was demolished to make way for the current church, which has been rebuilt several times since.
St. Martin's Church has always been of importance. The building has both cultural-historical value and architectural and art-historical value.
Because of the prominent and dominant place that the church occupies on the main terrace, the church has a special significance for the appearance of the village of Neer.
