You start with a cup of coffee or tea and a piece of traditional cake ('vlaai'). This is followed by a short reading on the management of natural areas using sheep. Next you are taken for a guided tour of the sheep farm.
The shepherd awaits you near the farm, with his flock and dog. He will demonstrate how the sheep are moved with the help of the dog.
It is fascinating to see how the sheep react to the dog.
The shepherd explains why the sheep are being herded, what they do and don't eat and how they recuperate.
Naturally, the shepherd will do his or her utmost to answer all our questions!
