Repeated due to success: the 3rd and largest Magic Route in Roermond! Use an interactive wand to conjure up the Magic Route at 15 locations and 30 magic points spread throughout the city: light, sound and action. The theme of the Roermond 2022 Magic Route is: 'You are a moviestar'. This year, you will shine as the star of your own Magic Route. At dozens of magic points in shop windows and giant XXL selfie spots, you will conjure up the stars! The Magic Route is even more extensive this year thanks to magic points at Foroxity Filmarena. This year, there will again be a Magic Puzzle. Can you solve it? Then you will have the chance to win a Playstation 5!

New this year: XXL selfie spots

This year, the Magic Route is more interactive and fun for the whole family thanks to the XXL selfie spots. You enchant the XXL selfie spots on the theme of 'film' yourself, with or without a magic wand: take a seat on the director's chair or shine on a mega-sized film poster. You will find XXL selfie spots at various locations throughout the city centre and at the Foroxity Filmarena and Designer Outlet Roermond. Make fun memories with the whole family at all the photogenic selfie spots.

With the new metre-high 3D light objects and recognisable Roer💋 selfie spots, you are guaranteed to take a memorable photo. In the run-up to the festive season, Roermond is definitely a cosy destination to relax or pamper yourself: special catering establishments, more than 140 surprising specialty shops & boutiques and a revamped and larger Magic Route.

The beloved Ferris wheel shines in the Roermond skyline again this winter. Look up higher and see Roermond from a different perspective. You will find the Ferris wheel in the large courtyard of Designer Outlet Roermond.

Practical information

  • You can do magic in Roermond all day from Friday 4 November 2022 to Sunday 29 January 2023.
  • The wands are on sale €2 at the Theatre Box Office of TheaterHotel de Oranjerie (Kloosterwandplein 12-16) and Foroxity Filmarena (Kazerneplein 4).
  • The magic wands from previous editions have not lost their magic and you can use them to do magic again this year.
