LDW RiverPark Meuse Valley
The RiverPark Meuse Valley is a landscape with distinct characteristics: the Meuse flowing as a lifeline through the wild river nature, but also the charming Meuse villages and castles on both overs. Long Distance Walk, 137 km of cross-border hiking fun in RiverPark Maasvallei.
This Long Distance Route is fully signposted. Ideal starting points are the access villages on both banks of the Meuse in the Netherlands and Belgium. For example, Stevensweert or Thorn. Strolling along the Meuse alternates with stretches through charming Meuse villages. Because the Meuse can swell and shrink so dynamically in this area, an additional dry footpath or 'high-water alternative' has been signposted, passable even in the wettest periods.
