Summervacationin Limburg

This is all possible in the southernmost province of the country. Limburg is a great holiday destination with activities for both young and old. Campsites and motorhome sites
During the summer holidays, you want to enjoy the sun as much as possible. Make the most of the beautiful weather by going camping. What could be nicer than starting the day with your bare feet in the grass? Stay at one of the luxurious campsites in Limburg with all the facilities you could wish for or take it smaller at one of the mini campsites. If you prefer to travel from campsite to campsite, there is also plenty of choice of camper pitches and hiker's huts.
Swimming in Limburg
In the summer months, the water of the lakes in Limburg gets warm and you can have a lovely swim. Take a dip in the Blauwe Meertje in Weert. The water here has a blue-green colour and is surrounded by palm trees. You really get the feeling you are abroad here.
Did you know that the Maasplassen are the largest connected water sports area in the Netherlands? Here you can take on all kinds of challenges like a real adventurer. Slide down the 14-metre high superslide at Fun Beach or go wakeboarding at Area-X. Prefer something more quiet? Maybe the AquaFunPark at the Drakenrijk Reuver is something for you. When the weather is less clement, you can also swim indoors at various locations.
Shopping
The Designer Outlet in Roermond is the largest outlet centre in the Benelux and Germany. The colourful architecture of all the shops here will put you in a summer mood. Still haven't finished shopping? The centre of Roermond is less than a five-minute walk from the outlet centre. So here your hunt for bargains can continue.
Cities such as Weert and Panningen are also great places to shop. When the weather is less clement, you can enjoy the indoor shopping centre De Muntpassage in Weert.
Enjoy the terraces
Enjoy a nice cold beer or a good glass of wine at one of the beautiful locations in Limburg during the summer holidays. From trendy beach bars to forest cafes, you will find all kinds of nice terraces for a drink. If you need to unwind during a day of shopping in the city, you can do that too. After a delicious piece of Limburgse vlaai (flan), you can get back to work in no time.
Playground
On holiday with the children? There are all kinds of playgrounds in Limburg where children can play for hours. They can romp around, play with water or sand, or climb on the playground equipment.
There are also fun indoor playgrounds like Mattel Play. Here children can meet their favourite TV heroes, play together and rollerblade. At XBAZE the floors and walls turn into trampolines and you can practise your best tricks.
