Depending on the weather, the asparagus season starts from April/May and lasts until St John's Day on 24 June.

The new water sports season
With spring approaching, the water sports season also begins in Limburg. The region is known for the river Maas and the Maasplassen. Here, lovers of water sports can enjoy themselves to the full. Whether you like sailing, canoeing, windsurfing, wakeboarding or fishing, Limburg offers plenty of water sports opportunities for everyone. The water sports season in Limburg officially starts on 1 April and lasts until 31 October. During this period, most marinas and boat rental companies are open and you can fully enjoy all water sports possibilities. There are also many cosy terraces and restaurants, where you can enjoy a snack and a drink while looking out over the water.
