Places of interest

De Abroxmolen  is an understory water mill and turbine mill dating from 1440. The mill was used as an oil and grain mill on the Aabeek.

De Abroxmolen is believed to be the birthplace of Jan van Abroek (1440-1510), reformer of the Order of the Holy Sepulchre. In 1775, there is an entry about the mill as an oil mill. Since 1910, after a complete rebuild, it has become a turbine mill. The mill work is dated to 1894. From then on, it also only milled grain. After the diversion of the Aabeek in 1961, the mill falls out of use. The mill house is a deep house with its top perpendicular to the Aabeek. The Aabeek originally ran under the mill house.
