Along beautiful towns of the Meuse to Belgium

If you've got a little more time, take a weekend trip tot he south. On the way you'll pass the large Marina Oolderhuuske on the Zuidplas. Give yourself a break here, then take the ferry Biej Ool Euver, to Ool. A few steps further you'll find the small cafe Kanters, right on the river Maas. Here you are in the heart of Limburg. Once back on board we continue our trip along Wessem and Stevensweert, to Maaseik. At 's Heerenlaak we stop, we are in Belgium. By bike we get a taste of the atmosphere in Maaseik, after which we return to Stevensweert. The marina there offers good facilities and is situated on the outskirts of the beautiful town. The next day we scurry back with the current. On the way we regularly make a detour along various ponds, including the white town Thorn, very beautiful. Moored in front of the town you walk along the stately access road into the heart of the town. Possibly via the Boschmolenplas you sail back to Roermond satisfied.
