You can find the Archeo Route location by searching for the tile next to the building on the right side of restaurant "de Hofferkeukens" on Hofstraat. You can also find it in the Archeo Route Limburg app.
The route follows the walking junction system, namely the numbers 42-61-45-37-36-40-44-43-42. You can start the walking route at any random point on the route. You walk the route clockwise. In the center of Thorn, you will find various opportunities to enjoy the Burgundian Limburg experience.

Use the information brochure about the Archeo walking route of Thorn as your guide. You can pick it up for free at one of our tourist information offices (VVV-Vestigingen). This will provide you with additional information about the places you pass along the way. The route is also displayed in the brochure. Additionally, open the Archeo Route Limburg app at each Archeo Route Limburg site to experience the stories behind the archaeological findings. Tip: You can also download the file to your smartphone.

Use the route on your smartphone as your guide (instead of the aforementioned brochure). Click the download button below to land directly on the route in our route planner. Click on the "see and do" button below the map. Then, check the "Archeo site" option. This will show you the locations of archaeological sites along the route. You can start the route immediately on your smartphone by clicking "NAVIGATE," but make sure your GPS location is turned on. This way, you can see exactly where you are on the route. You can also share or print the route. Additionally, open the Archeo Route Limburg app at each Archeo Route Limburg site to experience the stories behind the archaeological findings.
The Thorn walking route is an interesting and educational experience for people of all ages. If you enjoy it, you can combine this route with the Archeo walking route of Stevensweert. Go from point 40 to point 38 and then from point 50 to point 43 to continue on the Thorn route.
