Biketour: Exatenbosch Maasplassen

During the first part of the route you cycle through the beautiful Exaten nature reserve. Then you cycle through the villages of Baexem and Horn and pass some mills and castles for which Leudal is famous. Once you've crossed the river Maas, you'll arrive in the historic centre of Roermond. It is definitely worthwhile to park your bike and take a walk through the city centre. 

The route continues via the Maasplassen which you cross by ferry. Afterwards you'll pass through the Beegderheide nature reserve and the village of Grathem with again some castles and a windmill. 

Pay attention to the ferry times. In the winter months the ferry does not sail, therest of the year the ferry sails at various times.
