Area of natural beauty

The former munitions depot of the British Rhine Army has been a Nature Reserve since 1995 due to rare animals and plants in the heathland.

Markers at the six entrances guide hikers, cyclists and inline skaters through the Nature Reserve. Signs from the NRW foundation provide information about the marked trails, viewpoints and picnic areas.
