In 1791 a chapel was founded in Beek. From the beginning this chapel was devoted to Our Lady and was being served from Bracht.
The vicar of Bracht had  to take care of a weekly Holy Mass in Beek. Because of the increasing number of believers ,  the bishop of Roermond decided to build a church of its own. The church was built in 1933 by design of  J. Franssen.
