In the past the Moeselkapel was in the scenic agrarian Moesel area, close to some farms, at the border of the Moeselpeel. It is said that its origin has something to do with a Carnival country wedding, a dairy farm turned into a temporary chapel. After that the real chapel was built and dedicated to Our Lady of Lourdes.
