Walking through streams and woodland
The route takes you right through the Leudal area, following the Tungelroyse Beek and Zelsterbeek. You walk through forests, heath and open meadows. Highlights include the Sint Ursula Mill, the Litsberg viewpoint and the Sint Servaas Chapel on a hill.
Traces of the past
You pass the old Sint Elisabeth Monastery and Café Busjop, a place full of stories. The monastery farm and the Leudal Museum also lie along the route. The combination of nature and history makes this walk special in every season.
Plants, birds and beavers
This water-rich landscape is home to rare plants like marsh marigold and golden saxifrage. You may spot kingfishers, woodpeckers deer and even beavers. No two hikes are the same.
Practical information
The Premium Hiking Trail Leudal is part of Water Walking World. The route is 14.2 kilometres long and suitable for all seasons. The walk requires a moderate level of fitness and sturdy footwear.
