Recreational water Dilkensplas

The Dilkensplas was created by gravel extraction and is part of the Maas lakes. In the winter it is home to many water birds. And in the summer it is suitable for swimming or water recreation. There is also a day-beach where you can relax.

Day-beach de Maasterp is part of the Dilkensplas. There are sanitary facilities on top of the dike. There you will also find Brasserie de Maasterp, where you can enjoy a cup of coffee, lunch and an extensive dinner. From the terrace, you have a beautiful view of the lake and the marina. The day-beach is 15 hectares and suitable for the whole family. The swimming water is approved and checked regularly. You can also surf, canoe and take wakeboarding lessons here.

This lake is also a great place for walking. The walking route Beautiful places Eiland in de Maas (12.3 km) passes the three gravel lakes of Ohé and Laak. These are the Teggerse plas, the Dilkensplas and the Schroevendaalseplas. This beautiful walking route also passes the geleenbeek. The route passes through Stevensweert and Ohé en Laak, these villages are situated between two arms of the Maas. This unique location has made the history of both villages.
