This lake is also home to Area x, a water recreation area with many different facilities. There is a day beach called Palm Beach Roermond (formerly Dagstrand de Weerd) where you can relax for a small fee. Dogs are not welcome on this beach. But they have Doggy Beach for that, this is the first dog beach of Limburg. Dogs and their owners are very welcome here. The entrance fee is €5,- for a whole day (that includes car, max. two persons and your dog).
There is also a wakeboarding course at Beaver Creek Wake Park. Everyone can show their performance here and afterwards enjoy a drink on the terrace or at one of the beach clubs. The beach clubs in this area include Koers Zuid and Sunset Lounge. Every beach club has its own character, speciality and atmosphere. At beach club Koers Zuid you can also windsurf and SUP. For the children there is a large trampoline, playground equipment and the sand.
