The route starts in Effeld on the Steinkirchener Strasse. During the route you will pass the Effelder Waldsee, Effeld Castle, Daelenbroeck Castle, the Baseliek in Sint Odiliënberg and the Prince Berhard Mill. You will also get to the cultural and shopping city of Roermond, with its historic and cosy town centre. Visit also the largest Designer Outlet of the Benelux and Germany: The Designer Outlet Roermond, located only 2 biking minutes from the historic centre.
You will encounter the river Roer several times during this tour. The route follows junctions, both on the German and Dutch side of the border.
