The route starts in Wassenberg, Am Rosstor. You will pass the Burg Wassenberg, Gartenpark Wassenberg, the Rheinescher Obstgarten, Castle Daelenbroeck and the Effelder Waldsee. However, National Park De Meinweg is the highlight of the route, where varied flora and fauna are present. You will encounter the little river the Ruhr several times during this tour. The route follows junctions, both on the German and Dutch side of the border.
