Nowhere in Roermond did as many victims of the Shoah live as at the address Spoorlaan Zuid 5. From 1936, four Jewish refugees lived here: the old Moses Hahn and his 3 daughters Auguste HahnElka Hahn and Ida Hahn. The father passed away, so the sisters provided shelter to the refugee family of Moritz Lehmann, which consisted of 5 people.
In 1942, the fourth and fifth Hahn sisters were forced by the Germans to move to Spoorlaan 5. On April 9, 1943, the three remaining Hahn sisters and their elderly housemates were deported last.
