Museum Stevensweert-Ohé en Laak

Streekmuseum Stevensweert-Ohé en Laak

Regional Museum

In the Regional Museum of Stevensweert-Ohé en Laak you will get to know the turbulent and impressive past of the Isle in the Maas. The regional museum Stevensweert-Ohé and Laak , renovated in style, is located in the former town hall of Stevensweert, designed by architect P. Cuypers.

The collection

The collection is divided into a number of themes such as dredging finds, sculptures, coins and medals. The models of Stevensweert Castle, Walburg Castle and the Stevensweert Fortress bring history to life. The most famous dredge discovery ever made in the Netherlands can be admired in the museum, it is the silver replica of the Kantharos of Stevensweert. Children can set off on a treasure hunt through the museum.

Tourist Office Stevensweert

In the museum you will also find the Tourist Office Stevensweert. Here you will find a range of walking, cycling and equestrian routes, city and village walks and tourist information material on the immediate surroundings. You can also buy your fishing license for Limburg here.
