The Sjoemelmert has a special formula. It is an annual market, fair, flea market, hobby market, art market and charity bazaar. Every year, tens of thousands of people come to this friendly market.

About 200 stalls form a mile-long row of bargains and foodstuffs surrounded by the most beautiful buildings Roermond has to offer. The Sjoemelmert is one of the biggest attractions of North and Central Limburg.

When does the Sjoemelmert take place?

The Sjoemelmert is held on the last Wednesday and Thursday of July each year. This year it is on the 27th and 28th July. You can visit the market from 12.00 to 21.00. The other shops are open on Wednesdays from 10 am to 6 pm and on Thursdays from 10 am to 9 pm.

Live performances will be held throughout the city centre. There will also be entertainment for the kids. After the Sjoemelmert, the cafés in the city centre are still very lively.

Parking during the Sjoemelmert

The Sjoemelmert is located through the centre of Roermond. Park your car in the covered and guarded parking garages Stationspark (Maria Theresialaan 12) and Kazerneplein (Maashaven 144). At the Roermond Tourist Office you can buy an exit ticket for only 4 euros.
