The four aspects of the collection
- Flora and fauna of the Leudal
A large collection of prepared animals gives a good impression of the fauna found in the Leudal. Among other things, a badger sett has been recreated in the floor on the first floor. - Archaeology
The collection includes rough flint and stone tools from the Stone Age, urns, beads, axes and pots from the Iron, Bronze and Roman periods and swords from the Merovingian period. The showpiece of the collection is a censer found in Neer in 1999. - Heritage
The collection includes pottery and stoneware, washboard, pegs, irons, etc. and children's toys. Also included are materials from the militia such as militia medals, a militia rifle, banners and king's silver. - History with an emphasis on World War II
Because of the many acts of war in this area, the Leudal Museum is included in the Hiking Trail Liberation Route Europe, a 3,000-kilometer walking route from London to Berlin that can be traveled both physically and virtually. - Temporary exhibition
In addition to the permanent collection, there is also a changing exhibition, mostly on current topics. This exhibition is renewed an average of four times a year. See the website for the current temporary exhibition.
