Out in the green
In early spring the nature of Hart van Limburg awakens. Morning mist hangs over the stream valleys and birdsong returns between the trees. Narrow paths wind through the forest and along open fields where the light slowly breaks through. Every now and then a castle appears between the greenery.
Along the way there are places where you naturally pause for a moment. A bench by the water. A viewpoint along the path. A quiet spot at the edge of the forest where you take in the landscape. There is no need to hurry here. You walk a little further, look around and notice how spring slowly begins again.
A home for special species
Water brings life with it. Ducks sit along the banks, insects dance above the water and in the steep riverbank there might even be a kingfisher’s nesting hole.
