Kepèl
Panningen is popularly known as Kepèl and, with 7440 inhabitants, it is the largest village in the municipality of Peel en Maas. Over the years, it has grown into the shopping centre for Peel en Maas. Especially during the weekly market on Wednesday morning it is pleasantly busy here. In the summer, all kinds of events are organised here that make the centre attractive to visitors.
Citycentre
This route runs through the centre of Panningen, the beautiful Rieterpark, the tree-lined Groteveldweg past the mosque, the Kerkstraat, Ringovenstraat, Kerkhofpad, and via the market you walk back to the end point. On and around the Markt there are several nice terraces and other catering establishments and for top entertainment you can visit Doc6. A visit to the Oude Kerkhof is also worthwhile.
