Small round Maasplassen, Roermond is nearby

Even though the Maas is not navigable everywhere, the river is the common thread. A thread that meanders strongly. Together with the current, this makes sailing the Maas varied. Around the river there are numerous gravel holes, created by excavation. This explains why they sometimes appear a little artificial. Nevertheless, they offer a pleasant atmosphere, no current and various possibilities for relaxation, including food and drink, on a classic terrace or a trendy lounge area.

A nice departure starts at the Roerkade first downstream to the north. After rural Asselt we turn around and sail upstream to the south. At the end of the day you choose one of the harbours of Roermond and enter the city. Or you opt for the peace and quiet of a puddle.
