The region in and around the municipality of Weert is especially known for its green surroundings and the many windmills and water mills in the area.

Visit a mill 

At many mills, the sails or water wheel still turn on certain days. The miller will then explain how the mill works. For the times when you can visit the mills, see our events calendar or the information page of the mill in question.

Molenroutes

You can visit the various mills individually, but you can also plan a route along several mills. Check our route planners for walking, cycling, car or motorbike routes along the mills in Weerterland or in Grenspark Kempen~Broek, partly just across the border in Belgium.
