Quick Asparagus Tarts to Make!

Taste the spring with these asparagus tarts


Ingredients

  • 4 slices of puff pastry
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten 
  • 8 tablespoons crème fraîche 
  • 8 tablespoons cream cheese 
  • Dill, finely chopped for the filling and to garnish 
  • 150 grams grated cheese 
  • 16 green or white asparagus 
  • Tools: baking sheet and baking paper

Preparing

Preheat the oven to 190ºC. Thaw the slices of puff pastry and cut a square in the slices with a knife. Do not cut too deep and keep about 1 cm of the edge free. Brush the edges with the beaten egg yolk. 

1. Beat the crème fraîche with the cream cheese, dill, 6 tablespoons of grated cheese and 1 teaspoon of pepper. Spread the filling over the puff pastry and make sure it stays within the edges. 

2. Place 4 asparagus per tartlet on the filling. Push them in a little, they may stick out a little. 

3. Line a baking tray with baking paper, place the 4 tartlets on top and bake in the oven for approx. 20 minutes, until the edges of the puff pastry are golden brown. Sprinkle with the remaining grated cheese and dill.
