Area-X in Roermond
Water recreation area Area-X, in Roermond, is a lovely location (especially in summer). Here you can swim at Palm Beach, wakeboard or waterski on the wakeboard track or lounge by the water on the terrace of Yacht 5, Beachclub Koers Zuid or at Strandbar Bruis. Beaches
At Palm Beach, you can enjoy a beach day at a special location on the water. Besides a refreshing dip, you can play beach volleyball and there is an Aquapark in the water at Palm Beach. At Doggy Beach, Limburg's first dog beach, dogs and their owners are welcome. After your day at the beach, you can even let your dog go through the dog wash. What dog doesn't want to be pampered like this after a day of playing in the water?
Beach clubs
At the various beach clubs around the Noorderplas, such as Strandbar Bruis, Beachclub Koers Zuid and Yacht 5, you can soak up the sun while enjoying your favourite drink and snack. If at the end of the day you still feel like a tasty snack, you can score artisanal ice cream and delicacies at the Clevers Ice Cream Parlour.
Wakeboarding and waterskiing
Are you a daredevil and looking for an extreme challenge? Then head to Beaver Creek Wake Park! Here you will find a wakeboarding and waterskiing track, where you are guaranteed to expend your energy. For the slightly less daring, you can also supp, surf and swim in the Noorderplas.
Mobilhome pitches at Area-X
Since 2020, a Camper Area has been realised in the recreation area of Area-X. The mobilhome pitches are spacious and therefore very popular with water sports enthusiasts and people who like to stay by the water. Of course, this spot is also ideal as a stopover on the route to take a break in Limburg. A peaceful location, right on the Noorderplas. Enjoying the setting sun has never been so beautiful. The Camper Area is located on Area-X, next to the entrance to Doggy Beach and is open from mid-April until the end of October.
