Places of interest

Mill 'de Hoop' is a belt grinder in Horn. The sixteen square mill was built in 1817, shortly after the abolition of the mill coercion, in the French period.

This was against the wishes of the local nobility, who believed who believed that they still had the mill rights. After the death of miller 'van der Voort' in 1949,  his widow and her daughter milled at the mill, something that was very unusual at that time.
'De Hoop' has until the end of the 50s of the twentieth century milled. In 1968 the municipality bought the mill, to have restored him a few years later. Viewing by appointment.
