Places of interest

The Prince Bernard Mill is a semi-closed standerd mill built in 1999. It is a grist mill.

Location: Waterscheid - Between Melick and Herkenbosch

The standerd mill is located in the hamlet of Waterscheid, situated between the villages of Melick and Herkenbosch. Since 1999 it stands on the heath and serves as a replica of a mill that had been built there in 1936, but was destroyed during the war in 1944.

A Replica of Historical Importance

The standerd mill is an important historical monument representing the history of the region. Although it is a replica, it accurately reflects the mill that previously stood in the same location.

Visit Outside Opening Hours by Appointment

In addition to regular opening hours, it is also possible to visit the mill outside of these times, but you must make an appointment to do so.
