Museum Roermond: Historiehuis
Neerstraat 11

ROERMOND

Museum

In the Historiehuis you will become acquainted with the history of Roermond. From its origins up to and including this century, this city has had an eventful past.

The history of Roermond is very different from that of most cities in the Netherlands. Walk into the Historiehuis and be surprised! Admission is free. You will find the Historiehuis in the middle of town at Neerstraat number 11, in the Bibliorura Library building. The Historic House is open daily.

Trade, changes of power, monasteries, art workshops and the oldest inhabitant of the city, Christopher, are themes that are shown in an interactive way.

You will discover life in the medieval city that grew through trade into a city in which numerous 'ateliers' flourished. And, of course, the growth of Roermond into what it is today: a monumental city where it is pleasant to stay.

Temporary exhibitions

In the basement there are regular temporary exhibitions.

Access to the Historiehuis is free of charge!
